Extreme weather, rising costs, and conflict continue to threaten the future of vulnerable communities and children remain at the center of suffering due to no fault of their own. Yet, in the face of crisis after crisis, A Child’s Hope Int’l remains steadfast in our mission to care for orphaned and vulnerable children.

Urgency and compassion unite

The world is facing a widespread hunger crisis with an estimated 828 million people going to bed hungry each night. The number is staggering, and the collective impact on children is severe. Yet, what burdens us deeply is that every single number represents a child, made in God’s image, with a name and brought into this world with hopes and dreams. We specifically appealed to you on behalf of the 20.2 million precious children suffering from acute hunger in the Horn of Africa. And you responded…

Thanks to your support, ACHI has sent over 570K high protein Hands Against Hunger meals — meals you packed, funded and prayed over — to a local mission in Somaliland. These meals are helping to rescue children from extreme hunger and provide a stable and nutritious base of nutrition for families. This nourishing food is bringing hope to children and families. For families suffering from extreme hunger, these meals are light in the darkness. In addition to Somalia, your support has shipped 1.9 million critically needed meals to Eswatini, Ghana, Malawi, Pakistan, South Sudan, and families right here in Ohio. We couldn’t do it without YOU.

Growing local outreach programs in Ohio

As crises around the world continue to erupt, our neighbors here in Cincinnati, Ohio continue to work hard to provide for their families. A Child’s Hope Int’l is supporting families locally through an incredible network of partner churches and organizations. We have distributed more than 20 tons of food to local families in need so far this year. This spring, we joined with Project 5 2 to bring essential supplies to a high need neighborhood school in Greater Cincinnati where 98% of students live in poverty. Beyond sharing food and clothing with these 600 students to help meet their immediate needs, this pop-up distribution has helped families to feel financial and emotional relief. Every dollar you have donated has helped to lift the burdens off children and families in need.

Looking ahead

The road ahead may be challenging and marked with uncertainty, but our mission remains as crucial as ever. As we move into the second half of 2023, starvation continues to tighten its grip on Somaliland and Haiti remains isolated due to conflict — severing humanitarian access amidst catastrophic food insecurity. Children and families in Ghana, India, and Eswatini need our help now more than ever. It would be easy to move into the final half of 2023 with compassion fatigue — the need is indeed great. But our God is greater! We have seen God work miracles through your generosity time and time again. And we believe God is faithful to do it again. Here are 3 ways you can help:
